I love rum, and not just because pirates infamously drank it. The best rum in the world comes from Puerto Rico, some would say, and Puerto Rico is the Rum Capital of the world. I’ve sampled enough Puerto Rican Rum to say that I can’t disagree!
Today’s post features a new web series (episodes 1 and 2 are already released) called Rum Times, highlighting the 450+ year history of Puerto Rican Rum, in partnership with Rums of Puerto Rico, and History.com.
Each episode is a just few clicks away online, and highlights the historical achievements of the past, features historical figures such as Nikola Tesla and Thomas Edition, and the celebrations enjoyed as they moved the world forward in technology. As the series says, “behind every great milestone, there’s a great party,” and the Rums of Puerto Rico were there to enhance the enjoyment of everyone.
As a bonus, there’s also a cocktail recipe named after each invention, such as the Light Bulb, or the Camera. They’re short clips of a few minutes each, and end with a musical fiesta showcasing various brands you really should try. It’s rum time!
