Have an Upscale and Intimate New Year’s Eve at The US Grant

In search of an upscale alternative to the thousands of people crammed into a multi-room overcrowded maze of blaring music and bar lines, I found the perfect event, and thought I’d share it with you. With other events I found costing hundreds of dollars, this one is a reasonable $60, or $90 for VIP, (plus ticketing fees).

Our friend and site contributor Natalie Susi‘s Bare Mixers brand of all-natural and low-calorie cocktail mixer is the premiere supplier for the evening’s cocktails designed by the amazing Jeff Josenhans (more on him below, with a cocktail recipe video at the end), with spiked punch bowls being included in your regular ticket price for the 9-10pm hour — or all night long with VIP tickets, which I’ve opted for. I’ve also secured reservations for the Grant Grill’s special NYE tasting menu, making dinner a nice start to what I’m sure will be a fun night as we dance our way out of 2012, and toast to 2013! If hunger strikes, just outside the Palm Court Ballroom door’s, THE US GRANT Grand Lobby will await with a menu of Lounge bites available for purchase.  In-and-out privileges means that you’ll be back in the Ballroom just in time for the Midnight Countdown and hosted Champagne toast.
