True Food Kitchen is a fresh concept in food sourcing, preparation, and taste. Their dishes are healthy, locally sourced, and prepared daily, with lots of gluten-free, vegetarian, and vegan options, too.
Fairly new to the Fashion Valley mall, located opposite (in more ways than one!) from the Cheesecake Factory, they prep vegetables and such right out on tables a few feet away from dining tables. It’s like you’re eating at a friend’s house, in their rather large kitchen.
True Food Kitchen had a huge line the last time I tried meeting a friend there for lunch… people are loving the cuisine. There’s no secret why… their core concept, taken from their web site:
“You don’t have to be a die-hard Yogi to dine at True Food Kitchen. You need only a desire to give your body nutrients, and your palate something memorable. The basis for Dr. Andrew Weil’s anti-inflammatory diet isn’t meant to deprive a healthy body of great flavors, it’s meant to take popular trends in cuisine and pair them with healthy living. Try the kale and quinoa, you’ll live longer. Drink the seabuckthorn and acai, you’ll feel better. At True Food Kitchen, we want you to feel better, live longer, and make your mouth happy in the process.”
Wow. That’s a fresh view on food, for sure, and people sure appreciate it.
I sure appreciate the taste of the meals, with always fresh, farmer’s market crispness to their produce. The cocktails aren’t bad either; yes, they have a full bar. You can eat healthy while giving your liver a workout.
Fox Restaurant Concepts owns quite a few different restaurants, True Food Kitchen is just one of a dozen others. From the taste of the food, and the lines I saw at lunch, it looks like this one is a great success, and it makes me want to try their others, too.
